Our good friend ARNOLD FROLICS was kind enough to videotape the FESTIVAL OF WASTE show last week, and has put together a most-delicious compilation showcasing some of the evening’s festivities… WATCH IT, AND NEVER LET GOOOOOOO!
(Yes, that looks like GOO, not a long-slow-yelled GO, but hey…) Thanks Arnold, you’re the breast!
Since last Friday night I have been kept awake by a haunting vision… a man in bedazzled regalia stands at the mic in front of a crowd, speaking at (AND THROUGH) me with the unsettling sounds of a whale beached upon some dystopian starshipped future.
A half-week older, stronger, and more open to a world of dynamic horror, I have come to realize that man was Henri Fabergé (of The Adorables).
Now, through the miracle of digital technology, we invite YOU to watch as this petulant poet takes the wraps off his new material…
Hello. Trevor here. I have exciting opportunities that concern your inner ears and your eyeballs!
.
What a delite-full set of shows we had this weekend, what a delite-full opportunity to revisit the crevices of my childhood imagination, via guitar, in 8-bit… just like back then!

They played sets at Snakes+Ladders NXNE extravaganzae such as Whippersnapper on Thursday, and returned on Saturday as Megaboss in the NoXNoE aftershow!
.
Check out the video I put together of their set at Academy of Sciences on Saturday, you may find that it activates you, as a power-up might, into a nightmarish and fire-spewing mechanical manboy. Mechanical Manboy:

Promises…. deliveries…. the dance between these two parallel forces has brought us to yet another slick video – this time it’s HEARTBEAT HOTEL performing at their Fetus Dreams album release party last night at ze Tiger Bar!
_ _ _
Enjoyer, and please… don’t forget to write your city councillor. xoxo Trevor
This is quite a depart-sure from the last video we showcased of Airick’s Musical Adventures…. for his set yesterday at Tiger Bar he traded in two drummers for a gee-tar, and took his sound in a grungeulous new direction!
…<<><>>…
Stay tuned for video of HEARTBEAT HOTEL’s per-4-mance, and maybe even a little LA CASA MUERTE if you’re good (and if I’m able to keep my eyes from dribbling out all over the Final Cut edit bay…)
Doldrums kicked things off with new shriekysongs from Airick Woodhead (and a Velvet Underground Greatest Hit or two…), before Quiet Hooves blew our minds and eardrums with trumpet and badda-badda-bahs. Rich Aucoin took to the stage adorned in his vicious blend of trippy visuals and swing-batter-batter electropop. My brain is now largely comprised of swing-batter batter.

Boys Who Say No gave it good and hard with two drummers (including Snakes + Ladders’ own Daniel Woodhead!) before setting the stage for JAPANTHER’s epic fort destruction! The poor thing only lasted about fifteen minutes before the horde slammed, spiked, and swarmed the shit out of it.

The moral of the story is that these things always look freakin’ awesome the day after, so without further ado, here is a video of the night’s festivities edited together by yours truly:
